1) What is PolicyTruth.in?

PolicyTruth.in provides independent, plain-English analysis of loan and insurance documents to help you understand costs, exclusions, conditions, lock-ins, exits, and “what to confirm in writing” before you commit.

2) Are you SEBI/IRDAI registered?

No. PolicyTruth.in is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser/research analyst and is not an IRDAI-registered insurance intermediary/broker/agent/corporate agent. We do not sell products, earn commissions, or provide recommendations.

 

3) Do you provide financial/legal/insurance advice?

No. Our Reports are educational and informational only. We do not provide advice, and we do not create an adviser-client, agent, or fiduciary relationship.

 

4) Do you tell me to buy, hold, cancel, switch, surrender, renew, or claim?

No. We do not tell you what to do. We explain what your documents say and highlight gaps, conflicts, and questions you may want to confirm in writing with the issuer or with a licensed professional.

 

5) What exactly do you deliver?

A concise Report that:

- extracts and explains key terms (charges/deductions, exclusions/conditions, limits/sub-limits, waiting periods, lock-ins/exits, claim conditions, fees/penalties), and

- highlights “unknowns” and questions to confirm in writing,

based only on the files/pages you upload for that order.

 

6) Is your Report legally binding?

No. Only the issuer’s contract documents and written confirmations are binding. Our Report is a navigation and understanding aid.

 

DOCUMENTS & SCOPE (IMPORTANT)

 

7) What documents should I upload for the best review?

Upload the actual contract documents (not marketing):

Insurance: Policy Schedule + Policy Wording/Booklet + Customer Information Sheet (if available) + all Endorsements/Riders you want included.

Loans: Loan Agreement/Sanction Letter + Key Fact Statement (if available) + fee schedule/annexures + any addenda you want included.

 

8) What happens if I upload only the Policy Schedule (or only partial pages)?

The Report will be limited to what is visible in the uploaded pages. Items that are typically found in the wording/booklet may be marked as “not found / unknown” and recommended for written confirmation.

 

9) Can I upload multiple policies or multiple family members’ documents in one PDF for one report?

Standard orders cover one “Document Set” only (one primary contract + its related pages you uploaded). If you combine multiple different policies/loans or multiple family members’ policies into a single PDF, the Report may cover only the primary/first identifiable document or only what is processable. For complete coverage, place separate orders or use a multi-document plan if available.

 

10) Will you automatically include supplementary documents or add-on covers?

We analyze only what you upload under that order and only within the purchased scope. Riders/endorsements/add-ons/annexures are covered only if they are included in the uploaded Document Set and are readable.

 

11) Do you analyze brochures, sales illustrations, proposal emails, WhatsApp chats, or verbal promises?

No. Marketing and sales communications are not treated as binding contract terms. We focus on the contract documents you upload.

 

12) Can you cross-reference my other policies or compare insurers?

Not under standard single-document reports. Cross-policy comparisons or household audits require a dedicated multi-document service tier (if offered).

 

13) What if I upload an unsigned draft, old version, or wrong renewal year?

We analyze what you upload. Upload the latest final version for the most accurate outcome. Uploading the wrong version is not a basis for refund (see Refund Policy).

 

14) What if the document changes after I upload (endorsement/revision by issuer)?

Our Report reflects the uploaded document at the time of analysis. If the issuer updates terms later, you should request the updated wording and, if needed, order an updated review.

 

15) What file formats do you accept?

PDF preferred and other supported formats shown on the upload page. If a format is not supported, convert to PDF before upload.

 

16) Is there a page/size limit?

Yes. Limits are shown on the upload page for your chosen service. If your upload exceeds limits, you may need to split into separate orders or choose a multi-document plan.

 

QUALITY & ACCURACY

 

17) Is the Report guaranteed to catch everything?

No. The Report is limited to what is readable and present in your uploaded pages and within scope. If pages/annexures are missing or unclear, the Report will reflect that limitation.

 

18) What if my PDF is blurry, watermarked, password-protected, or missing pages?

If the file is unreadable/locked/incomplete, we may request a clean re-upload. If you do not provide readable pages, the Report can only reflect what is visible in the original upload.

 

19) Do you verify authenticity of documents?

No. We cannot verify whether a document is genuine, complete, or the latest version. Always verify with the issuer.

 

20) Do you provide page references in the Report?

Where possible, the Report references the relevant section/page context from your uploaded document to help you verify quickly.

 

TURNAROUND & DELIVERY

 

21) How fast do I get the report?

Typically within 12-24 hours of Successful Upload (and payment, if applicable). Timelines may vary if we require clarification, re-upload, or during peak periods/holidays.

 

22) How will I receive the report?

The Report is sent to your registered email and/or made available for download via a link/dashboard.

 

23) I didn’t receive the email—what should I do?

Check spam/junk/promotions, verify the email entered at checkout, and contact support with your Order ID. We will re-send if needed.

 

PRIVACY & DATA

 

24) How secure is my data?

We use reasonable security safeguards and limit access. For details on collection, use, retention, and deletion, see our Privacy Policy and DPDP Notice.

 

25) Should I redact PAN/Aadhaar and address before uploading?

Yes. Redact PAN/Aadhaar and full address wherever possible before uploading. Upload only what is needed for your review.

 

26) How long do you keep my documents?

We keep documents only for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy/retention section, and delete them thereafter. You can request deletion per the DPDP Notice.

 

27) Will you sell or share my documents with agents, lenders, or insurers?

No. We do not sell documents/data or share them with product sellers for marketing.

 

SUPPORT, REFUNDS & CHANGES

 

28) How do refunds work?

Refunds are limited to objective, verifiable triggers such as:

- non-delivery within the stated timeline,

- verifiable factual extraction errors (a quoted number/clause differs from your uploaded page),

- material scope omission versus the purchased “What We Cover”.

Refunds do not apply for change of mind, dissatisfaction with findings, uploading the wrong/incomplete/unclear document, or expecting analysis of documents not uploaded.

29) Can I cancel after uploading?

Usually no, because processing may start quickly after Successful Upload. Cancellation eligibility depends on whether processing has started (see Refund & Cancellation Policy).

 

30) What if I find a factual error in the Report?

Email support with your Order ID and the exact page reference/screenshot from the uploaded document. If it’s a verifiable factual extraction error, we will correct and re-issue the Report as the primary remedy.

 

31) Can I request an updated Report if I get endorsements/new wording later?

Yes. That is treated as a new document set and may require a new order or add-on.

 

32) Will you contact my insurer/bank or handle my claim/dispute?

No. We do not contact issuers or handle claims. We may provide “questions to confirm in writing” so you can seek written clarifications directly.

 

33) Do you guarantee claim approvals or better outcomes?

No. We do not guarantee outcomes. Decisions and confirmations must come from the issuer/lender/insurer in writing.

 

34) What if I want a complete household review (multiple family members/policies)?

If offered, choose the multi-document/household plan. Otherwise, place separate orders per primary document.
